Oliver Mõru is Counsellor for Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) at Permanent Representation of Estonia to the EU. In 2016-2021 Oliver worked at Estonian Minister of Defense. He was there US Country Director and before to that Desk Officer for France, and Desk Officer for Ukraine. Prior to joining the ministry, he worked as a junior research fellow at the International Center for Defense Studies, where focused on the Baltic-Nordic region, especially Arctic security. Oliver did his bachelor’s studies in history and international relations at the University of Tartu and master´s studies in international security at Sciences Po Paris (Paris School of International Affairs) and Georgetown University. His main areas of expertise are Russia, NATO, EU and transatlantic relations.
