CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE CORRESPONDENTA AT THE GUARDIAN

Shaun Walker is a foreign correspondent for the Guardian, currently based in Budapest. He spent more than a decade in Moscow for the Independent and the Guardian, and is the author of The Long Hangover: Putin’s New Russia and the Ghosts of the Past (OUP, 2018), about Russia, Ukraine and historical memory. He has spent most of 2022 so far in Ukraine, covering Russia’s war on the country.
