Participation at the GLOBSEC 2022 Bratislava Forum is possible by invitation only due to the limited capacity of the venue. The invitation is strictly personal and non-transferable, subject to a thorough selection process. Every invitee must be approved by the GLOBSEC Forum Audience Board, consisting of the organisation’s Executive Committee and Project Managers. Accreditation will take place at the Riverpark Dance School, Dvořákovo nábrežie 4, 811 02 Bratislava. Entry is via the pedestrian zone from the back side of the River Park Complex. Please note you will not gain access to the main conference venue without first collecting your badge at the accreditation centre. Where possible, we ask that you pick up your badge on 1 June 2022 to avoid likely queues on 2 June 2022 shortly before the opening. Please bring identification when collecting your badge. A passport is preferred, though a national ID card is also acceptable for EU citizens.
Accreditation centre will be open at the following times:
- Wednesday 1 June 2022, 8:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Thursday 2 June 2022, 8:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Friday 3 June 2022, 8:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Saturday 4 June 2022, 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
The pandemic caused by the COVID-19 disease has been receding in Europe and the measures are being eased in the most European countries. However, it is still necessary to keep certain preventive measures and follow some recommendations, especially in the case of the mass events.
The health of our guests and all involved team members and suppliers is of key importance to GLOBSEC. At the same time, we understand that a potential infection and subsequent need of a self-isolation / home-office would present an unwelcome disruption in the working routine of our guests.
GLOBSEC 2022 Bratislava Forum organizers have therefore adopted several measures and recommendations in the execution of the event in order to keep the participants and all involved members of the team, hotel staff, technicians and other providers safe and healthy. Face masks neither FFP2 respirators will not be mandatory in the external nor internal premises of the conference. However, we strongly recommend to those participants with lower immunity or any health issues to protect themselves by using the masks or respirators, which will be available during the whole Forum.
The organizers will not be requesting the presentation of proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
To avoid the possibility of a spread of COVID-19 at the conference, we recommend all participants to test themselves before arriving to the Forum.
ACCESS TO THE MAIN CONFERENCE VENUE
The Forum is taking place at the Grand Hotel River Park, Dvořákovo nábrežie 6, 811 02 Bratislava. Entry is via the pedestrian zone from the back side of the hotel, where you will need to show your badge. On entrance to the venue you will go through airport style security arches prior to gaining access to the conference.
We ask that you refrain from bringing any luggage with you and make use of your hotel’s left luggage service where possible. Your luggage will be searched, and you are requested not to bring any personal defence items with you as these will be confiscated on arrival.
Please note you will need to wear your badge at all times throughout the event. If you exit the security perimeter you will be required to complete security check each time that you would like to re-enter the Forum.
In case you have booked accommodation in one of our partner hotels, please note that accommodated guests are fully responsible for fees related to the cancellation of their accommodation or no-show. Please note that the organisers are not responsible for the check-in and check-out policy of the partner hotels, therefore cannot guarantee either early check-in or late check-out. The check-in time in the partner hotels is 3pm, the check-out time is 12pm.
For guests accommodated in one of our partner hotels, GLOBSEC will provide regular shuttle service between the hotel and the venue of the Forum. If you travel by car, you can park your car directly in the hotel’s garage. Please note that the hotels will charge you directly.
The main sessions take place on three stages simultaneously: Maria Theresia Ballroom, located on the first floor of the Grand Hotel River Park, the Danube Stage, located in in front of the Hotel, and the GLOBSEC Boat Stage, located on the Danube, near the Hotel. Each having their own, distinct atmosphere, the three spaces offer greater variety of topics than ever before, allowing the Forum to branch out further into new areas and stay on the pulse of key developments impacting the future of our societies.
GLOBSEC CLOSED-DOOR SESSIONS
On the side-lines of the Forum, GLOBSEC, in collaboration with partner institutions and think-tanks, is organising multiple closed-door sessions. These exclusive by-invitation-only formats aim to gather selected participants of the Forum such as representatives of public institutions, businesses and academia in order to conduct professional discussions on interesting, specialised topics, as well as for the purpose of networking.
GLOBSEC AWARD CEREMONY
Please note that entry to the GLOBSEC Award ceremony, held on the evening of 2 June 2022, is upon a separate, personal, non-transferable invitation only. Additional details about the event are included in the invitation as well as in your personalised conference package ready for you at the Accreditation Centre.
For guests attending the Award ceremony, the organisers will arrange bus transport from the Grand Hotel to the respective venue. The bus will be leaving from 6:40 pm. Departure times of buses will be indicated in the conference agenda as well as in the lobby of the partner hotels. Please note that due to the strict time schedule, buses will wait no more than 5 minutes after the planned departure.
BENEFICIARY CONCERT & COCKTAIL
GLOBSEC, in cooperation with the Government of Ukraine, will kick-off a fundraising campaign to help immediate needs of Ukraine, which includes a beneficiary concert and cocktail to drive support for humanitarian efforts for Ukraine and draw attention of the international community. The beneficiary concert of Ukrainan and Slovak bands will take place on 3 June at 8:30 pm. The venue of the event is the Bratislava Castle. Buses will start leaving from the Grand Hotel River Park from 7:40 pm.
BMW SHUTTLE SERVICE
If you have requested so via your personalised registration form, you will have the possibility to use the local shuttle service provided by organisers. This will be arranged for the duration of the Forum and will be provided by BMW Group Slovakia.
Arrival: the BMW shuttle service includes transport from Vienna airport, Bratislava airport, or from the train and coach station in Bratislava to the hotel you will be accommodated in, on the day of your arrival. Our colleagues will be waiting for you at the airport arrivals terminal, train or coach station holding the GLOBSEC Forum logo and will accompany you to your GLOBSEC-branded BMW.
Departure: the BMW shuttle service also includes transport from the Grand Hotel to Vienna airport, Bratislava airport, or to the train and coach station in Bratislava. Guests accommodated in other hotels than Grand Hotel River Park, venue of the GLOBSEC Forum, are advised to use shuttle bus service in order to arrive to the Grand Hotel on time for their departure.
Upon your arrival to the Grand Hotel, GLOBSEC staff at the BMW Shuttle Service Desk will accompany you to your car.
SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE
For guests accommodated in one of our partner hotels, we will provide regular shuttle bus service between the hotels and the venue of the Forum. The shuttle bus timetable will be available at the Info point as well as in the conference app.
Our colleagues at the Info Point located in the lobby of Grand Hotel River Park will be at your disposal from early morning to late evening during the Forum and will be happy to help you with any questions or inquiries you might have.
FOOD AND BEVERAGES
For the guests accommodated in the Grand Hotel River Park, breakfast will be served at the Riverbank Restaurant from 6 am to 10.30 am.
At the Sheraton Hotel breakfast will be served at the Brasserie Anjou Restaurant from 6.30 am to 10.30 am.
At the Radisson by Carlton Hotel breakfast will be served at the Sayo Restaurant from 6:00 am to 10:30 am.
At the AC Hotel breakfast will be served at the AC Kitchen restaurant from 6:00 am to 10:30am.
The organisers will host number of coffee breaks in between the panel discussions. Permanent coffee stations will be at your disposal on both the conference floor and the lobby of the Grand Hotel for the whole duration of the Forum. Lunches for all participants will be served on June 2, 3 and 4, both in the foyer on the conference floor and in the River Bank Restaurant on the ground floor. Otherwise, you are more than welcome to enjoy the hospitality of the Lobby Lounge Restaurant located in the lobby of the Grand Hotel. Please note that the hotel will charge you directly for any meals and beverage not mentioned above, as in the case of any other extra services.
COMFORTABLE LIVE STREAMING
To ensure the safest possible environment for all guests, we have prepared additional listening rooms and live streaming at the Grand Hotel, including the cafeterias, restaurants and lobby. These premises will be equipped with LCDs, furnished with comfortable sofas and refreshments outside the main conference room.
GLOBSEC MOBILE APPLICATION
GLOBSEC 2022 mobile application will allow you to view the detailed agenda, as well as the list of confirmed speakers and participants, create a personalised agenda, share your feedback, join the discussion through the Q&A section and polls. You will be able to download the GLOBSEC app via our upcoming email invitation as well as Info Point in the Grand Hotel upon your arrival to GLOBSEC. All logistical information will be available in the app.
MORE POWER TO THE AUDIENCE (the section is moved upwards)
Our goal this year is to truly stir up the discussion in the conference rooms and encourage everyone to join the debate. Since we believe the audience plays equal part in the sessions as the speakers on stage, we aim to give more power to you. Over the three days, the sessions will include various features for audience interactivity using the audience engagement platform sli.do. To pose a question or express your opinion, just enter the app via the sli.do website using the event code #GLOBSEC2022 or press “ask a question” in the GLOBSEC app.
Security of our guest is of paramount importance to the organisers. Therefore, be prepared that you will have to go through security checks every time you enter the Security Perimeter indicated in the map below. We kindly ask you to wear your badge at all times when attending GLOBSEC events.
Access to the Security Perimeter will only be permitted to those wearing their badge provided by the organisers at the Accreditation centre. Please note that your badge and lace are non-transferable and any violation of this policy may result in immediate revoking of participation in GLOBSEC.
