HEAD OF DEFENCE PLANNING UNIT AT MINISTRY OF DEFENSE OF THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC
Michal Minárik is the head of the planning unit at the Defence Policy Department of the Slovak Ministry of Defence. Previously, he had worked on Slovak long term defence planning and its interface with the NATO Defence Planning Process. For three years, he had been the Slovak representative on the Defence Policy and Planning Committee and The Council Operations and Exercise Committee, which deals with the development and improvement of Alliance crisis management procedures to support the North Atlantic Council consultative and decision-making roles in times of crises. He was the desk officer of the Slovak MoD for bilateral relations with the US, Canada and Israel between 2016 and 2017.
